Pineal Gland Calcification: What the Evidence Says

Pineal calcification is a real radiological finding. That does not mean every online claim about its causes, symptoms or reversal is established.

Health note: This page is educational and is not a diagnosis or treatment recommendation. Supplement claims should be distinguished from established medical evidence.

What calcification means

Pineal calcification refers to mineral deposits in the gland. A 2023 systematic review and meta-analysis reported a pooled prevalence of 61.65%, but the included studies were highly heterogeneous, so the pooled figure should be interpreted cautiously.

Does it need to be “decalcified”?

The existence of calcification does not by itself validate supplement protocols marketed as pineal “decalcifiers.” Claims that a food, herb or supplement reverses pineal calcification require direct supporting evidence.

Commercial claims

If you're researching products marketed around pineal support, see our Awaken XT review, where merchant claims are separated from independent evidence.
